Before you set to do the configuration work, you must cater the prerequisite for it.
To set up an agent's parameters, the only prerequisite is to become this agent's administrator. When you selecte in the netsearch window to display the detail working status of this UPS, you will be told to key in your user name and password. If you enter a common user's name and password, you only gain the permission to view the UPS's working data and current parameters settings and its log files. You have no permission to change any of the values. To become this agent's administrator, you should select the 'Login As Administrator' item from the Monitor window's 'System' menu and key in the root user name and the password in the displayed dialog box. After the 'OK' button be pressed, you gain the permission to set up this agent's parameters.
